How do I get a library card?
Current members of the University community may use their University ID as their library card, just bring your University of Redlands ID card to the front desk and we'll take care of the rest. Alumni and visitors may learn more by visiting the Visitors & Alumni page.
How many items may I borrow?
Current students at the University of Redlands, visitors, and alumni may borrow up to 25 items at a time; Proudian students and employees may borrow up to 200 items at a time. (However, only two videos or DVDs may be checked out at a time, and only one course reserve may be checked out at a time.)
How long may I keep my items?
Current Students, visitors, & alumni: Most items may be borrowed for about four weeks; dvds, cd, and records may be borrowed for about one week.
Current Employees & Proudians: Most items may be borrowed for the duration of your academic term; dvds, cds, and records may be borrowed for about five weeks.
Should another patron request an item that is checked out to you, that item might be recalled and due earlier than the original due date.
How do I renew my items?
To renew items, log into your library account, click on the "currently checked out" link to the left of your screen, select and renew desired items.
How can I return my materials when the library is closed?
There is a book drop at the north (back) side of the building. To avoid damaging items, we ask that you do not return dvds, cds, records, and videos in the book drop.
