Armacost Library welcomes alumni and visitors. The links on this page have been gathered together to quickly get you to the information you need.

You can contact us anytime, with a quick question. We will do our best to provide you with the correct answer.

Visiting Armacost Library

The University of Redlands Interactive Campus Map includes directions to the university's Redlands campus. Select Armacost Library in the left navigation. A tooltip will pop, with a link to directions.

A printable University of Redlands Campus Map (PDF) is also available.

Parking

Visitors to Armacost Library may park in designated visitor parking areas adjacent to the Willis Center. Please get a visitor parking permit from the Public Safety office in Willis Center. They will also provide directions to Armacost Library. More details about parking on campus is available from the University webpage.

 

Borrowing Items from Armacost

Visitors and alumni patrons who desire to borrow books from Armacost can do so. A community courtesy card may be obtained for a fee. The first step is contacting our administrative assistant to initiate this process.

Alumni may get an alumni borrowing card without charge. We will need time to verify the alumni status of requestors. Alumni library cards are valid for three years from the month they are issued.

Community and alumni card holders may borrow up to six (6) books from the circulating collection at a time.

 

Printing & Photocopying

Printing

Alumni printing requires assistance from library staff.

Photocopying

Photocopying is available to all library users. Our photocopiers only take copycards, ATM, and credit cards. Copycards may be purchased from the circulation desk. They come in increments of $1 and $5. The photocopiers are located on the 2nd floor of the Library, at the eastern side of the building.

 

Using Computers

Visitors and alumni may use wired computers in Armacost Library. Ask library personnel to log you onto any of the computers available.

 

Accessing Article Databases

Armacost Library has a number of article databases available to users who come to the library. A list of these with walk-in access are availableand at the Library Help Desk.

To access any of these resources from the list above, just click on the link of the resource you need to access.

To quickly identify which resources can be readily used, find these icons:

  • means a myRedlands login is not required to access the resource

  • means a resource is available to anyone in the library building

  • Provides accessibility features means a resource has at least one accessibility feature

 

Using Armacost's Government Documents Collection

Armacost Library is a Federal Depository library. We provide access U.S. Federal government information to residents of the 41st U.S. Congressional district. For more details about Armacost Library's government documents collection and services, come visit us or our government resources pages.
