Reference works like encyclopedias, dictionaries, and handbooks can be incredibly valuable resources when doing research. They are particularly useful when you're just getting started in research and want to know more about the background of your topic.
Reference titles are shelved in the reference section of the library to the right of the front desk. These titles cannot be checked out, but you are free to consult them while in the library.
