Where are Creative Writing books?

Literature and books on writing are shelved on the third floor of Armacost Library.

Since the library uses the Library of Congress classification system, these books have call numbers in the P's.

Literature call numbers

The Library of Congress classification system reserves the call number range from P1 to PZ9999 for books on literature. Creative writing topics related to authoring or translating are part of the PNs. Different genres of literature (novels, poetry, short stories, plays) are shelved together. This section is primarily grouped by language family, then subdivided into genres and historical periods, and finally ordered by author name.
